Thank you for your comment, Marius. I wonder if the jeweler who sold you the ring originally can give you any advice on how to get the shine back?
-- Contributed by: K PullenMy ring did not get scratched - it ended up looking like a car part in just over 6 months. There is no more shine, it looks dirty and nothing seems to work to make it shiny again. As it got darker and darker with what looks like tarnish, I tried everything to clean it. Polishing compounds, sandpaper, heating it up (in hopes that the tarnish will burn away) absolutely nothing has any effect. Best advice is to pay for extra warranty...
-- Contributed by: MariusMy wife and I bought a matching set of tungsten wedding bands custom etched. We love them !!! They are quite heavy (its a heavy metal) we love that you can "feel" them on our fingers. No worry about scratching or tarnishing, and the finish is stunning. We could not have made a better choice.
-- Contributed by: Scott M.My wife purchased a beautiful tungsten ring with 14kt gold inlay with a single diamond, as my wedding ring, and I must say that it is absolutely gorgeous. People are always complimenting and asking what type of metal it is. Tungsten is for sure taking the ingagement and wedding jewelry world by storm!
-- Contributed by: KaiTungsten rings are actually pretty popular in places like Sears and JC Penney, I just bought one for my boyfriend for 85 dollars at Rani Jewelers. It's identical to the ring at the top of this page. Absolutely beautiful. And they're durable, and not feminine in the slightest. Perfect choice, he loves it.
I just bought a tungsten ring online at www.infinitytungsten.com and have been amazed at how durable and beautiful the ring is. Thank you for such a great article, it gave me the confidence to go against the norm and buy a tungsten ring.
