Hi Darren, thank you for your question. I would suggest asking your jeweler for recommendations about cleaning the next time you visit. They will be able to give you specific advice based on your ring, the settings and the type of treatment that your diamonds have had. They will also be able to advise about re-dipping. It is always a good idea to let your jeweler see the ring so they can advise you accordingly.
-- Contributed by: K PullenHello i have a diamond band with the 4 main diamonds are treated diamonds (white diamonds. i was wondering what i should use to clean my ring myself in between the jewler cleaning and should i be weary when i go to have my ring re-dipped becuase it white gold.. could that process harm the treatment of the diamonds. thank you!
-- Contributed by: DarrenCarol - If the treated diamond is coated to enhance the color, then yes, the coating may eventually wear off and the stone's color would change. Many times the coatings are strong enough to last for years, depending on how the ring is treated, but it is something to be aware of.
-- Contributed by: Mayntzi was wondering if a "coated" diamond wears off the color?
-- Contributed by: carolKaren, Your best bet is to get an appraisal. Natural blue diamonds are very rare and worth a lot. Treated diamonds are worth much less. Also, other blue gemstones can be cut like diamonds and are worth varying values. There is no real way to know what you have without a certified gemstone appraisal.

I have some that were given to my grandma years ago, at least I think that they are diamonds. They are shaped like diamonds usually are and they are a medium blue.
Thank you for you help. Karen
