Val - There really aren't big magazines just for being engaged, but most bridal magazines have great tips for engaged couples, including information on Engagement Parties, caring for your ring, and other details, not just strictly wedding planning. Best wishes!
-- Contributed by: MayntzWell i just got engaged and all these articles are quite interesting and I love the advice. Does any one know of a magazine for engagements? Thank -you

They're excited and happy to show off their rings, and they assume everyone wants to see the symbol of their relationship. It's part of how materialistic society can be, but don't take it as a consistenly impolite behavior and simply congratulate them on their committment.
-- Contributed by: MayntzI agree with the sentiments that it is very rude to immediately thrust your hand in someone's face. A classmate of mine recently got engaged. As I was walking by her to go to class, I congratulated her. Before she said thank you, or anything else, she immediately walked over to me with her hand extended. I didn't even ask to see the ring. It was a bit off-putting. I think some people equate the happiness of an engagement with their satisfaction with the ring.

-- Contributed by: MayntzAlthough, being engaged and wearing a sparkler is great fun... it's not always tasteful to "show off" your new jewelry. I got engaged at the same time as a close friend and I always waited to be asked before I showed someone my ring where as she made albums online of her ring and emailed to everyone under the sun. I just found it to be tacky... not everyone actually cares or wants it shoved in their face.
-- Contributed by: jessicaNice advice! Most of the tips are very very sensible, and nicely put. I completely agree with 99% of the article.
But I kinda think that "instant hand sanitizer" is a little over the top!
