-- Contributed by: Joyce CruzThank you for your comment, Lisa. I am sure that your boyfriend will understand why his wearing a ring is important to you. Many men get to like the idea of demonstrating their commitment with a ring.
-- Contributed by: K PullenJesse - you could consider getting a ring made. Many jewelers are happy to make custom sets and these aren't necessarily too much more expensive.
-- Contributed by: K PullenMy boyfriend has expressed to me that he would like us both to have engagement rings... but these are ridiculous hard to find! We want a ring that he can wear and later combine with another ring when we get married, similar to a woman's engagement ring, but more manly (haha!). I have found some neat ring designs with two pieces fitting together for men (although they do not call them engagement rings)... but they are often very cheap materials. I wish there was a list of stores that sell men's engagement rings!
-- Contributed by: JesseGabe - Many men opt for engagement rings that are just metal, possibly engraved, and they continue to wear them as wedding bands. You could also get a simple diamond chip or something subtle so it doesn't look at all like a woman's engagement ring but is still different than a wedding ring.
-- Contributed by: MayntzI would be so impressed if my girlfriend got me an engagement ring! I wouldn't want any stones set in the ring though. I would rather have the ring in an enduring material like platinum. I plan on having me and my girlfriends wedding bands set in platinum.
-- Contributed by: GabeErin - That's a great alternative. Many men appreciate a symbolic gift but may not be comfortable with a ring: bracelets, necklaces, money clips, watches, and cuff links are all great options.
-- Contributed by: MayntzLast Christmas, I gave my boyfriend a tungsten bracelet as an engagement gift (when we are married, he wants to wear a tungsten wedding band). It seemed a little unfair to me that I got to have all the fun wearing my engagement ring, but now he gets to sport something that he loves, too!
-- Contributed by: ErinDavid - Very good points. Fortunately, more designers are creating men's rings that are more distinctive than plain bands, though many men prefer a less elaborate ring.
-- Contributed by: MayntzI believe females proposing to their male counterparts is a great idea. What better way to tell the one you love that you yourself are ready to get married. Why put pressure on the male to propose to you, when your ready to wed. Why not take to clue and propose to him. But unlike female rings, male rings could be very easy to very hard to find a ring that suits his tastes. Shop carefully.
-- Contributed by: David Hi want to get my man a male engagment ring when i get one, as i don't see why i should have to show to the world i am taken if he doesn't have to - equal rights and all that.
so i think it is great that male engagment rings are becoming more popular but they STILL aren't common enough.
-- Contributed by: HazelScott, Men usually wear engagement rings on the "ring finger" (the one next to the pinkie) on their left hand. Once the wedding takes place, they can continue to wear it there with a wedding band, or move it to another finger (most commonly the ring finger of the right hand).

-- Contributed by: ScottShannon - I'm sorry, that photo is from a stock agency and we have no further details on the pricing. You could print the picture and take it to a jeweler, however, for an estimate on similar styles with gemstones of your choice.
