Lonna and Kelci - After a bit of research, I've discovered that an engraved U with an arrow through it is the manufacturing mark of Uncas company, which produced rings and other premium jewelry from the 1920s through the 1960s.
-- Contributed by: MayntzTo Lonna: I recently found a ring, though I'm not sure if it belonged to my aunt or my grandmother and I have no way of asking as they are both dead. The ring in a simple silver band but it has the same engraved U with an arrow going through. I was also wondering what it was. Have you made any progress in finding out?
-- Contributed by: KelciOurs are both engraved with the date of our first kiss and the words "and forever" with a little heart. We designed our own rings, and I really reccomend it. It's a beautiful bonding thing to have made them together, and you get a piece of jewelry that you love the look of as much as you love the sentiment of.

The quality of gold would be listed with a "K" (for karat), but it could be a sentimental engraving that has worn away with years of cherished wear.
