Jewelry designer Barry Verragio is the founder of Verragio, Ltd. He has over 20 years of jewelry designing experience. After working as a jewelry designing apprentice for many years, he studied jewelry design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, New York.

Designer Barry Verragio designed a setting called Lumino setting, which suspends the diamond, allowing a maximum amount of light to catch the stone's facets from all angles, which shows off a diamond's natural fire to advantage. Lumino settings are used in nearly diamonds used in rings from three-stone styles to the scrolling design on Paradiso rings. Verragio claims that this technique allows a diamond to take in 75 percent more light than other types of settings. Nearly all Verragio rings feature this setting.

Most Verragio engagement rings also have matching wedding bands. However, if the ring does not have a matching wedding band or the customer wants something different, Verragio can create a custom wedding band.

Verragio's Couture line is the newest collection. It offers a number of different engagement and wedding bands. The engagement rings feature the Lumino setting with a crown-shaped bezel under the center diamond. The bezel works with many different stone cuts from traditional round to radiant cuts.

The Men's line are modern, bold wedding bands styles. Designs include all metal bands, bands with etched designs, two-toned bands and bands with diamonds.

The Eterna ring collection features anniversary or eternity rings with diamonds. Many Eterna rings designs use Lumino to show off each diamond to full effect.
