Printable Ring Sizer
From LoveToKnow EngagementRings
A newly engaged couple may find a printable ring sizer useful. Many couples are not comfortable walking into a jewelry store with no idea of their ring sizes. A ring sizer takes away some of the pressure on those new to ring shopping.
About Ring Sizers
Ring size charts provide a fast and easy way to take finger measurements and determine ring size without going to the jeweler. You'll don't need the jewelry's metal ring sizer for accurate measurements. Paper charts can also determine correct finger size details.
Types of Ring Sizers
Printable ring sizers are convenient because you can use them at home. Paper ring sizers are available in the following formats:
- Ruler: Many jewelry sites offer a printable chart with a small ruler designed to wrap around the ring finger and take measurements.
- Circle chart: A jeweler may have a chart of circles of varying size to represent ring sizes. The circles are cut out and placed over the ring finger to determine measurements.
- Combination ruler and circle chart: Some jewelry sites have a sizer that combines both the ruler and the circle chart. A person cuts out the ruler, wraps it around her finger for a measurement and then compares the wrapped ruler to the circles on the chart to estimate ring size.
- Size conversion charts: Ring size conversion charts may contain a ruler or circle chart to help international customers estimate their ring size by converting it into the appropriate number system.
How to Use a Ring sizer
Paper ring sizers are generally easy to use.
For a ruler sizer…
- Carefully cut out the ruler.
- Gently wrap the ruler around the finger.
- Compare the ruler measurement to the chart measurements.
- Estimate ring size.
For circle charts…
- Locate the circles that you feel are closest to your ring size.
- Cut the circles out of the paper. You now have a set of paper rings.
- Slip each circle onto your finger until you find the perfect fit.
- Make a note of the ring size indicated by the circle that fits you.
For circle charts, you can also use one of your rings to figure out finger size. Take a ring that fits the appropriate finger and lay the ring on the chart. Take note of which circle the ring matches. This is your ring size.
Most ring sizers come with directions. Follow the directions to take proper measurements.
